Muallak Mosque Restoration Project, Kilis City Center

The documentation and preservation project of Muallak Mosque aims to reveal its aesthetic and cultural values while preserving its originality and identity. In this context, a scientific and systematic research approach was developed in collaboration with relevant experts, in accordance with preservation ethics, to establish a fundamental preservation strategy. Interdisciplinary research was conducted on the building’s design features, load-bearing system, construction technique, and materials, potential risks were identified, and necessary preservation interventions were implemented.
